Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is a Romanian actor and TV host. Her most well-known work is the main character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control, and Rush. Alexandra was the sole daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. At the age of 16, she had already landed several television roles, for instance, the lead in the Downfall film Youth Without Youth Control. Following her critically-acclaimed character in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went onto play more notable roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, as well as the secretary of Adolf Hitler in Downfall. Downfall received nominations for an Oscar and was a critical as well as commercial popularity. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are two other Oscar nominated features featuring female stars. In the past, Alexandra was involved in numerous important international and national productions. Some of these include the British biographical movie Control, Greek drama movie The Dust of Time, and French historical mini-series Napoleon. She was also part of the jury for the Transylvania International Film Festival, as well as at the Cannes Film Festival.
