Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is a Romanian actor and TV host. Her most well-known work is the main character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control, and Rush. Alexandra was the sole daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. At the age of 16, she had already landed several television roles, for instance, the lead in the Downfall film Youth Without Youth Control. Following her critically-acclaimed character in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went onto play more notable roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, as well as the secretary of Adolf Hitler in Downfall. Downfall received nominations for an Oscar and was a critical as well as commercial popularity.
